Titans Cruise in 18-6 Victory at Benedictine



LISLE, Ill. - Junior Lauren Pavich and sophomore Maggie Krause netted four goals each as the Illinois Wesleyan women's lacrosse team won their second game of the season 18-6 at Benedictine on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The Titans are 2-0 while the Eagles slipped to 0-2.

In addition to Pavich and Krause, Abby Kushina had three goals, while Brenda Martinez, Paige Hasty and Clarke Rich each tallied two.

Pavich also had two ground balls and was successful in her one free position shot attempt leading to her first goal of the game.

Freshman Claire Quist played all 60 minutes in goal and made six saves.

IWU held a 15-12 advantage in ground balls and took a 12-5 lead into the locker room at halftime before holding the Eagles to only one goal in the second half while putting six of their own on the scoreboard to come away with the 18-12 victory.

What's Next?
The Titans return home for a non-conference matchup with Wartburg. First draw from Tucci Stadium will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
