MLC Report (Week 7) - Benedictine Stretches Win Streak to Seven

WAUKESHA, WI - The Benedictine University men's lacrosse team continued its hot play, stretching its win streak to seven following a pair of MLC wins last week.  The Eagles (9-2, 4-0 MLC) beat Concordia 8-7 and Beloit 14-8 during the week of play.

Junior midfielder Eric Orndorf (Channahon, Ill./Minooka) helped the Eagles continue the school record win streak.  The junior scored three goals as Benedictine recorded its first ever win over Concordia University, rallying for an 8-7 win.  Orndorf scored all three of his goals in the fourth quarter to help tie the game against the Falcons. 

The Channahon, Illinois native scored two goals and added an assist with two groundballs in a 14-8 win over Beloit on Saturday. 

Benedictine will host Elmhurst and Hanover in non-conference action this week.

In other action...

Aurora University (7-6, 3-0 MLC) won a pair of matches last week, beating Beloit and Carthage.  Aurora sophomore goalie Cameron Brooks (Miami, Fla./Palmetto) led the effort in the two wins. The sophomore tallied seven saves and allowed only five goals as AU beat Beloit 15-7 in league play.  Brooks added six saves, while allowing only three goals as Aurora beat previously undefeated Carthage 9-3.
