MLC Selects Players Of The Week For Feb. 26-Mar. 4

Fontbonne University's Alex Scott and Benedictine University's Sam Sanko have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of Feb. 26-Mar. 4, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Scott (Port Orchard, Wash.) broke out against Earlham College with a career-high six goals in the Griffins' first win of the season. The sophomore attackman added three assists in the victory.

Sanko (Naperville, Ill.) made 20 saves in an overtime loss to Elmhurst College, falling one short of his single-game record set earlier this season. The senior goalkeeper also picked up a pair of groundballs. He started against Kalamazoo College in a mid-week game and stopped four shots in playing half the game with two more groundballs.
