CoSIDA Again Names Gett Google Cloud Academic All-American

LISLE, Ill. -- Benedictine University men's lacrosse senior Corbin Gett has repeated as a Google Cloud Academic All-American.

Gett, a 4.0 GPA computer science major, has earned the honor for the second time in his career, this year boasting First Team Academic All-American honors. The Northfield, Michigan native is just one of fifteen student-athletes in the country to earn First Team honors.

The senior attacker also earned Google Cloud Academic All-District honors and was named the Male Scholar-Athlete at the Benedictine Athletics end of the year banquet.

Gett also excelled on the field this season, not only leading the Eagles in scoring and goals, but leading the conference as he was named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Gett finished the season just shy of 100 points, leading the conference with 98. The senior led the conference in goals during the regular season while sitting third in assists. Gett broke his own single-season records for goals and points during the campaign and was named as the MLC Player of the Week three times. The Northfield, Minn. native matched the single-game record for points with 10 against Fontbonne. Gett capped his career as the program's single-season and career leader in nearly every offensive category. Gett finished the year with 61 goals and 37 assists.

To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. The winners are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
