MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin defeated visiting Aurora University, 9-7, in the Midwest Lacrosse Tournament title game Saturday afternoon at Fitting Field.

The Falcon's (15-3) first MLC Tournament championship comes with the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.

The game was back-and-forth with four lead changes and three scoring ties. CUW scored a game-securing man-up goal by Stephen Gregory with 9:07 to play and their defense shut down the Spartans (13-4) the rest of the way.

Keijo Day led the Falcons with four goals and an assist, Ben Gramarossa won 12-of-16 faceoffs and picked up seven ground balls, while Garrett Wohlford made 12 saves.

Harrison Canaday led Aurora with three goals, Kellen Moczynski had two assists, while Phillip Gianelle tallied nine saves.

Concordia Wisconsin will find out its opponent for the NCAA Tournament Sunday at 8 p.m. via ncaa.com.
