Langmack Named Google Cloud Academic All-District

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Cornell College junior lacrosse midfielder Brendan Langmack (Jr./Olathe, Kan.) has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Langmack was among 11 student-athletes chosen to the NCAA Division III First Team in District 8, a pool comprised of nominees from 21 states in addition to Canada. The at-large program consists of 12 different men's sports.

CoSIDA's academic teams recognize the top student-athletes for combined performance on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve, have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3.

Langmack advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The Division III All-America Teams will be announced June 19.

Langmack, a two-time Academic All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference performer, carries a 3.98 cumulative GPA. He is pursuing a degree in chemistry.

Langmack finished third on Cornell's 2019 squad with 51 total points, scoring 30 goals and dishing 21 assists. He registered 77 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers, ranking second on the team in both categories. Langmack started all 17 games for the Rams (4-13 overall, 2-9 MLC).

With still one season remaining, Langmack stands among the program's career leaders in points (82, sixth), goals (46, sixth), assists (36, fourth), ground balls (132, seventh) and caused turnovers (36, fifth). His 11 career man-up goals are a school record.
