LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College won its first Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) regular season championship Saturday. 

The Foresters won the outright title with an 11-3 victory over the University of Northwestern. They finished undefeated (5-0) in MLC play in their second season in the league. 

This is the 11th time in conference history the regular season champion has recorded a perfect record.

Lake Forest will be the top seed for the conference tournament which begins Wednesday, May 3. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, with the championship Saturday at the highest remaining seed.

Complete information about the tournament will be released Sunday, April 30.
