Carthage College junior attacker Timothy Francis (Costa Mesa, Calif./Huntington Beach) led the Red Men to a 1-1 record to open the season and has been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The junior scored 10 goals and added an assist during the opening weekend of play.
Francis netted six goals in a 15-12 loss to Albion, marking the second-best all-time mark in Carthage history.
The Costa Mesa, California native added four more goals in a 23-1 victory over Calvin and currently leads all of NCAA Division III with 10 goals this season.
Carthage (1-1, 0-0 MLC) will return to action on Sunday at Centre.
