WAUKESHA, WI - The Augsburg women's lacrosse team opened the season with a pair of wins, including a win over Beloit in the MWLC opener for both schools.  The Auggies (2-0, 1-0 MWLC) beat Dubuque 12-11 and Beloit 19-10 during the opening week of play

Sophomore attack Helena Nguyen (Maple Grove, Minn./H.S.) led Augsburg with four goals in the win over Beloit Sunday. 

Freshman defense Christina Nelson (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy) totaled three ground balls, two draw controls and five caused turnovers against Beloit and added four ground balls with five caused turnovers in the win over Dubuque. 

In the loss for Beloit, senior attack Libby Storrick (Coon Rapids, Minn./H.S.) scored four goals with one assist, three ground balls, three draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Augsburg will return to action on Saturday, March 5 at Concordia (Wis.).
