WAUKESHA, WI - The Wartburg women's lacrosse team opened its season with a 1-1 mark down in Texas.  The Knights (1-1, 0-0 MWLC) claimed a 13-8 road win at Dallas Sunday before falling at Southwestern (TX) 12-3 Tuesday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Karolina Paulsen (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) helped the Knights claim the win at Dallas Sunday. The sophomore allowed eight goals and claimed 12 saves, ending the contest with a 60.0% save percentage as the Knights opened the season in the win column. 

Offensively, senior Megan Howe (Monona, Iowa/MFL MarMac) scored four goals with one assist during the two contests. Howe netted three goals with an assist in the win over Dallas and added a single goal in the loss to Southwestern.

Wartburg will return to action on Saturday, March 12 at home against Concordia-Chicago.
