MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For March 20-26

Beloit College's Hannah Drexler and Concordia University Wisconsin's Veronika Metanova have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 20-26, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Drexler (Alexandria, Virginia) scored five goals in each of the Buccaneers' three wins last week for 15 total. The senior also tallied an assist, eight ground balls and five draw controls in the trio of wins.

Metanova (Palatine, Illinois) had a pair of stellar performances during the Falcons two league victories, during a three-game week. The senior goalkeeper twice had double-digit save total, including a 13 save performance at Illinois Wesleyan University and 10 saves at Monmouth College. She also tallied eight saves in a win at Cornell College.
