MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 10-16

Monmouth College's Kara-Jade Gordon and Concordia University Wisconsin's Allison Kurek have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 10-16, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Gordon (Nashville, Tennessee) notched a career and game-high eight goals to propel the Fighting Scots to their first win in program history with a 17-14 win over Cornell College after coming back from a 3-0 deficit. The freshman added an assist on the go-ahead goal to give Monmouth a lead it would not surrender. Gordon also won eight draw controls and picked up eight ground balls.

Kurek (Chicago, Illinois) was all over the field during the Falcons victory at Beloit College last week. The junior had a game-high seven caused turnovers, eight draw controls, and five ground balls, to go along with four goals (1-of-1 free-position).
