The four teams for the 2017 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Tournament have clinched their spots and the seeding is set for next weekend's semifinals and final.
Concordia University Wisconsin (11-5, 10-1 MWLC) clinched a share of its third consecutive regular season title and earned the No. 1 seed and right to host the conference tournament.
Hamline University (13-3, 9-2) secured the No. 2 seed while Aurora University (9-8, 8-3) earned the No. 3 seed over Augsburg College who drew the No. 4 seed. The Spartans defeated the Auggies, 10-7, in the team's head-to-head matchup this season to earn the tie-breaking nod.
Illinois Institute of Technology (15-2, 10-1) won the other share of the regular season title but is currently a provisional NCAA Division III member, so it is not eligible for the conference tournament.
The top-seeded Falcons will host Augsburg in the first semifinal, Friday, May 5 at 1 p.m., followed by the second semifinal which pits Hamline and Aurora at 4 p.m.
The tournament final is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, also at Fitting Field in Mequon, Wisconsin.
The tournament champion is the MWLC's automatic qualifier in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
