MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For Feb. 19-25

Monmouth College's Amanda Green and Kara-Jade Gordon have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of Feb. 19-25, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Green (Henderson, Nev.) had a complete game in helping Monmouth to a season-opening 16-6 win over Westminster College on Sunday. The sophomore's first goal gave the Scots a 3-0 lead as Monmouth led from wire-to-wire. Green finished the game with six goals on 12 shots with one assist. She also recorded nine draw controls.

Gordon's (Nashville, Tenn.) defense helped Monmouth in Sunday's win. The sophomore attacker picked up a team-high five ground balls and added four draw controls to go with three caused turnovers.
