Aurora University's Andrea Colford and Reilly Armstrong have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 5-11, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Colford (Eden Prairie, Minn.) had a 15-point week with 11 goals and four helpers as the Spartans went 2-0. Additionally, the senior had 24 draw controls, forced seven turnovers and picked up six ground balls.
Armstrong (Houston, Texas) went 2-0 on the week with allowing only eight goals per game and making 15 saves. In both contests, the sophomore goalkeeper allowed a combined two goals in the second half of the games which allowed the Spartans to come from behind to win at Southwestern University of Texas.
