Aurora University's Andrea Colford and Concordia University Wisconsin's Lauren Paquin have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 2-8, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Colford (Eden Prairie, Minn.) scored 13 goals in three games for Aurora as the Spartans went 2-1 on the week. The senior added 12 ground balls, won 11 draw controls and caused five turnovers.
Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.) led the Falcons defense during a trio of victories last week during MWLC play. She had a total of 10 caused turnovers, seven ground balls and eight draw controls, to go along with 16 goals. The junior had three ground balls and four draw controls in a close 10-9 victory over Aurora University. She then posted five caused turnovers, three draw controls and a ground ball in an OT victory at Wartburg College. The midfielder wrapped up the week with five caused turnovers, three ground balls and a draw control in a road win over Loras College.
