MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 15-21

Monmouth College's Kara-Jade Gordon and Concordia University Wisconsin's Ellie Woodman have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 15-21, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Gordon (Nashville, Tenn.) scored the second-most goals in school history with 10 in a 20-9 victory over Beloit College Friday as she scored two go-ahead goals and one game-tying goal in the first five minutes of play. The junior attacker then scored seven goals in a 20-11 loss to Concordia Wisconsin Saturday. She tallied 16 draw controls over the two-game span with eight in each contest.

Woodman (Janesville, Wis.) helped the Falcons defense with six ground balls, five draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 15-9 win at Cornell College Friday before recording four ground balls, four draw controls and four caused turnovers in the 20-11 win at Monmouth.
