Pipers Clinch Second Consecutive MWLC Title

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Hamline University clinched the 2019 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference regular season title outright Saturday with one game still remaining to play.

The Pipers (15-1, 12-0 MWLC) topped host Marian University, 20-3, Saturday to secure the league title. Alycia Monserrate Novotny led the attack with four goals and three assists while Molly Dionne and Alyssa Bryan-Jeffries split time in goal with two saves apiece.

It's Hamline's second consecutive regular season conference championship and look to make it back-to-back undefeated conference seasons as they close out the regular season at Concordia University Wisconsin tomorrow.

As the top seed in the upcoming MWLC Tournament, HU will play host for all three games. The Pipers will host Augsburg University in the first semifinal Friday followed by the second semifinal between Aurora University and Illinois Tech. The tournament final will take place Saturday. Times will be announced at a later time.
