AURORA, Ill. -- Aurora University women's lacrosse senior Reilly Armstrong continued to add to her lengthy all-around accomplishments as a Spartan on Thursday as she was named to the CoSIDA District VII Academic All-District team. Armstrong was selected to the women's at-large team for her combined performances in the classroom and on the field in goal.

CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA member sports information directors within the district based on the student-athletes' academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field. To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average throughout their academic career at AU. Armstrong will now move on to the Academic All-America selection process.

Armstrong completed her undergrad and masters at AU in four years with a perfect 4.0 GPA while being a four-time Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference All-Academic selection and Aurora University Spartan Scholar. In goal on the women's lacrosse team, Armstrong held a 34-23 career record with an 8.71 GAA and .482 save percentage. She was an all-conference selection as a junior and conference freshman of the year in 2017 while being named the AU Chris Thompson recipient for 2019-2020.
