Tryder, Hasner Earn MWLC Weekly Awards

MINNEAPOLIS—Lake Forest College's Emma Tryder and Wartburg College's Alyssa Hasner have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, for events March 7-13, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Tryder (Thorton, N.H.) finished with a team-high four goals and one assist in the 20-7 victory at Warren Wilson College last Tuesday. She had two goals in the loss to Madonna University on Saturday. Tryder is sixth among MWLC competitors in goals and seventh in points.

Hasner (Lakeville, Minn.) had 15 saves and four ground balls in the narrow loss to Augustana College (Ill.) on Saturday. She leads the league in saves and is tied for second in save percentage.

This is the first career MWLC honor for Tryder and second for Hasner. Tryder is the first offensive winner for the Foresters this season. This marks the second award this season for Hasner.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
