LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Lake Forest College won its first Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) regular season championship Friday.

The Foresters won the outright title with a 14-9 victory over Hamline. They finished undefeated (5-0) in MWLC play in their inaugural season as a varsity program.

Lake Forest will be the top seed for the conference tournament which begins Wednesday, May 4. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, with the championship Saturday at the highest remaining seed.

Complete information about the tournament will be released Sunday, May 1.
