Wartburg’s Greiskalns Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

WAVERLY, Iowa— Wartburg College's Bri Greiskalns added another honor to her senior campaign after being named to the First-Team Academic All-District, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA.)

The 2021-22 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.

She is the fourth honoree in MWLC history, and first since 2020.

Greiskalns was named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Midfielder of the Year for a second consecutive year after leading the Knights to their first ever postseason performance.

The Oakdale, Minnesota native closed the 2022 season as the Wartburg all-time leader in goals, assists, total points, draw controls, ground balls and caused turnovers.  

Greiskalns will graduate this May with a degree in Neuroscience with a 3.75 GPA.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
