Luksan, Hasner Earn MWLC Weekly Awards

MINNEAPOLIS— Hamline University's Maitland Luksan and Wartburg College's Alyson Hasner have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) offensive and defensive players of the week respectively, for events February 13-19 as selected by the league's head coaches.

Luksan (Plymouth, Minn.) had a team-high two goals and one assist for three points in the season opener for the Pipers Saturday.

This was her second career MWLC honor, and first career offensive MWLC honor, as she was previously honored once for defense on Feb. 28, 2022.

Hasner (Lakeville, Minn.) made 17 saves and had two ground balls with plays outside of the cage in the season opener for the Knights Sunday.

This is her third career MWLC honor.

The MWLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Augsburg (Minneapolis), Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Hamline (St. Paul, Minn.), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Monmouth (Monmouth, Ill.), Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.), Saint Benedict (St. Joseph, Minn.), and Wartburg (Waverly, Iowa).
