LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The College of Saint Benedict won its second-straight Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) regular season championship Saturday.
The Bennies won the outright title with a 14-13 victory over Lake Forest. They finished undefeated (5-0) in MLC play in their second season as a varsity program. This is the third-straight season the regular season champion has finished undefeated in league play.
Saint Benedict will be the top seed for the conference tournament which begins Wednesday, May 1. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, with the championship Saturday at the highest remaining seed.
