Augustana College junior attacker Hilary Kargl (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) led the Vikings to a 2-0 start on the season and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The junior scored 10 goals, added seven assists, and scooped up four ground balls during the week of play. Kargl scored six goals with two assists in a 16-13 win at Sewanee and added four goals and five assists in a 21-1 win over Oglethorpe Sunday.
For the week, Kargl averaged 5.0 goals and 3.5 assists per game, while leading the Vikings with a 76% shot on goal percentage.
Augustana (2-0, 0-0 MWLC) is scheduled to face Centre Wednesday evening.
