Benedictine University junior defender Lauryn Ligocki (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led the Eagles defense during an 18-6 loss to Illinois Wesleyan and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on defense.
The junior recorded a team-high four ground balls with two caused turnovers as the Eagles dropped their second contest of the season.
Benedictine (0-2, 0-0 MWLC) will travel to Olivet and Kalamazoo over the weekend for a pair of matches.
