Benedictine University senior attack Samantha Link (St. Charles, Ill./East) paced the Eagles offense during a 14-8 loss to Illinois Wesleyan and has been named the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week on offense.
The senior scored four goals, on six shots, with a pair of draw controls to lead BenU in the season opening defeat to the Titans.
Benedictine (0-1, 0-0 MWLC) will return to action this week at home against Hanover and Kalamazoo.
