Gett, Gullett Named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

Academic All-America

The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America At-Large Teams have been announced and two student-athletes from Midwest Lacrosse Conference and Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference member Benedictine University were honored.

Benedictine University lacrosse student-athletes Corbin Gett and Becca Gullett both earned Second Team honors. 

Gett is a computer science major and a business analytics minor. The Northfield, Minnesota native is just one of 15 male student-athletes in the country to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team honors.
 
The junior attacker also earned Academic All-District honors and was the only Eagle to be named to the Midwest Lacrosse Conference First Team.
 
This is Gullett's second Academic All-America honor, earning Second Team honors last season as well. The computer science major also earned Academic All-District honors and was named to the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Second Team.
 
The Lockport, Illinois native is one of 17 female student-athletes to earn CoSIDA Academic All-American Second Team honors.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. The winners are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
