Red Men Play Host to Concordia (Wis.) on Wednesday

Box Score The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (13-4, 7-1 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent the College of Mount St, Joseph (2-13, 1-7 MLC), 14-5, on Saturday afternoon, April 19 at Schueler Field in Cincinnati. Ohio.  Carthage is tied for second place in the league with Concordia University (Wis.), both with 7-1 marks, and trailing first-place Aurora University at 8-0.
 
The Red Men led the Lions, 4-2, after the first period, 8-2 at halftime and 11-3 going into the final period.  Jack Meachum (Sr., Naperville, Ill./North) led the Red Men with three goals, one assist and three ground balls.  John Salerno (So., Western Springs, Ill./La Grange-Lyons Township) had three goals, one assist and one ground ball, while Tanner Thomas (So., Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit) scored three goals with two ground balls.  Timothy Francis (Jr., Costa Mesa, Calif./Huntington Beach) had a goal with two assists.  Drew Stoffer led Mount St. Joseph with two goals.
 
Carthage plays host to conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 12-3, 7-1 MLC) on Wednesday, April 23 in a 7 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
