Waukesha, WI- Ryan Davis, currently the Assistant Commissioner for Communications of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), has been named as the Assistant Commissioner and Sports Information Director for both the Midwest Lacrosse Conference and the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference.

"Ryan brings experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to the position," recently appointed Commissioner G. Steven Larson said. "His work in the HCAC has been exemplary. We look forward to having Ryan as a valued member of our staff as we move through this transitional phase with our member institutions, administrators, coaches, and student-athletes."

Davis, a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), joined the HCAC in August of 2006 as Sports Information Director, was elevated to his current role in 2012.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity to serve as the next Assistant Commissioner/SID of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference and Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference," Davis said. "I look forward to continuing the excellent work done by Mike Krizman by using my experience at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference to further promote the strong lacrosse programs in the MLC and MWLC."

A Greenwood, Indiana native, Davis is a 2004 graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. Before joining the HCAC staff, he was a sports broadcaster with WXLW-AM in Indianapolis and covered area professional and high school sports. Davis resides with his wife, Kristin, and son, Nolan.
