Aurora University's Trevor McNamara and Concordia University Wisconsin's Ben Gramarossa have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of Feb. 13-19, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
McNamara (Holland, Michigan) led the Spartans to a 14-10 season-opening win over CCIW-favorite Illinois Wesleyan University. The junior had three goals and two assists.
Gramarossa (Smithtown, New York) won 17-of-24 faceoffs in his first career game to help the Falcons to a 19-2 season-opening victory over the University of Dubuque. The freshman also picked up six ground balls.
