Beloit College's Mark Gannon and Monmouth College's Jason Kunath have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 6-12, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Gannon (Bellingham, Washington) scored four goals and assisted on four others as the Buccaneers split a pair of games last week. The sophomore had a goal and an assist in a loss to Marymount University of Virginia and then tallied three goals and three assists in a victory over Cazenovia College.
Kunath (Fleming Island, Florida) averaged 13.5 saves per game in a pair of games last week. Against North Central College, the freshman keeper turned aside 19 shots and recorded a 63 percent save percentage, all while leading all of Monmouth's clears and adding an assist for good measure.
