MLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 3-9

Aurora University's Trevor McNamara and Benedictine University's Sammie Sanko have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 3-9, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

McNamara (Holland, Michigan) led the Spartans offense that put up 33 goals in a pair of wins, 15-5 over Benedictine University and 18-2 over Augustana College. He accounted for points on 14 of the 33 goals with five goals and nine assists. The junior had one goal and five assists in the Benedictine win and four goals and four assists in the Augustana victory.

Sanko (Naperville, Illinois) tallied double-digit saves in both of the Eagles contests last week. The junior goalkeeper stopped 17 shots in the loss at Aurora and had 13 saves in a win at Cornell College.
