MLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 10-16

Benedictine University's Corbin Gett and Concordia University Wisconsin's Jack Melby have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 10-16, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Gett (Northfield, Minnesota) became the first player in Benedictine history to score 50 goals in a season, setting the single-season mark with three goals in a nonconference win over Northwestern University of Minnesota where he also set the single-season record for points. The junior scored five times in a 28-4 win over Concordia University Chicago as the team set a single-game goals record. He finished the week with eight goals, six assists, and seven groundballs.

Melby (Eagan, Minn.) helped the Falcons to pair of MLC victories this past week to stay near the top of the standings. The sophomore was nearly perfect in a win over MSOE, winning 14-of-15 faceoffs and picking up eight ground balls. Melby then won a career-high 21-of-29 faceoffs and picked up nine ground balls during a dominating win over Concordia Chicago.
