MLC Selects Players Of The Week For April 24-30

Concordia University Wisconsin's Kellen Asmundson and Garrett Wohlford have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 24-30, the final weekly awards of the 2017 season, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Asmundson (Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota) continued his impressive offensive output to help the Falcons win a pair of MLC games and a share of the regular season title, along with the No. 1 seed in the MLC Tournament. He had a hat trick, four assists and two ground balls during an important road win at defending champion Aurora University Wednesday. The senior then tallied two goals, four assists and four ground balls in a home victory over Cornell College Saturday.

Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) made 18 saves and picked up three ground balls to help Concordia Wisconsin win during the road victory at Aurora. The sophomore then had nine saves and two ground balls in the home victory against Cornell.
