AURORA, Illinois -- The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American Teams were announced on Wednesday, May 24 with Aurora University senior attack Jason Koziol being named Honorable Mention.

Koziol earned the USILA Honorable Mention recognition for the second consecutive season and yesterday was selected to the USILA North-South All-Star game. In his final season as a Spartan, Koziol was named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and was a First-Team All-Conference selection for the third straight season. He led the Spartans in 2017 with 58 goals, while dishing out 25 assists and had six man-up and one man-down goal.

The AU men's lacrosse team finished the 2017 season with an 18-3 overall record. The Spartans made their fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship in the seventh season of play for the program and hosted the first NCAA Tournament contest in the short history of the program. AU was the 2017 regular season and tournament champions in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference and went 7-1 in the MLC regular season.
