Benedictine University's Anthony Leahy and Concordia University Wisconsin's Garrett Wohlford have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 1-7, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Leahy (Schaumburg, Ill.) tallied five goals and three assists in a pair of conference wins last week. The senior midfielder had three goals and an assist in a 22-3 win versus Beloit College Wednesday and had two goals and two assists in a 21-7 victory at Cornell College Saturday.
Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) had an outstanding 84.0 save percentage during a pair of MLC victories for the Falcons. The senior goalkeeper made 13 saves and saved 81.3 percent of the shots faced and picked up 10 ground balls in a 10-3 win at Aurora University Wednesday. He then had eight saves and an 88.9 save percentage while picking up eight ground balls in a 9-4 road win at Monmouth College Saturday.
