Beloit College's Mark Gannon and Concordia University Wisconsin's Ben Gramarossa have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of April 15-21, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Gannon (Bellingham, Wash.) led the Buccaneers with 15 goals and five assists in a pair of conference wins last week. The senior attacker scored nine goals and three assists in a 21-4 victory over North Central University Wednesday, and then added six goals and two assists in a 13-7 win at Concordia University Chicago Saturday. He also added eight ground balls.
Gramarossa (Smithtown, N.Y.) controlled the faceoff circle during a pair of home victories for the Falcons. The junior midfielder won 15-of-22 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls to begin the week against Marian University Wednesday, before winning 11-of-13 faceoffs and picking up eight ground balls versus North Central Friday.
