Marian University's Colt Robertson and Monmouth College's Gordon Kiesgen have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of February 17-23, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Robertson (Reno, Nev.) posted a nine-point game to lead Marian past Northland College, 21-2, in the season opener. The sophomore attack scored five times to go with four assists to lead the Sabre offense. He also posted six ground balls and caused three turnovers in the victory.

Kiesgen (Spring Grove, Ill.) was a heavyweight in faceoffs last week, helping the Fighting Scots to a 2-0 start with an 11-4 win at Carroll University. The freshman dominated, winning 15 of his 19 faceoffs and scooping up six ground balls.
