MLC Selects Players Of The Week For March 2-8

Concordia University Wisconsin's Keijo Day and Alex Loding have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 2-8, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Day (Esko, Minn.) led the Falcons offense to a pair of victories last week, including an MLC victory over Benedictine University. He began the week with eight points (five goals, three assists), four ground balls and a caused turnover in a 12-6 victory over Carroll University. The junior attack then posted three points (one goal, two assists) in the 11-5 win over Benedictine.

Loding (Mundelein, Ill.) anchored the Falcons' defense as he made four saves in 26 minutes of work against Carroll before stopping 13 shots versus Benedictine. The junior won both games in goal for the Falcons with a .739 save percentage.
