Benedictine University's Thomas Tillett and Illinois Tech's Zane Handy have been named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 9-15, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Tillett (Naperville, Ill.) tallied five goals and four assists during a 2-0 week for the Eagles. The junior attack scored four goals on just five shots in the 15-9 win at Kalamazoo College Monday, and then had a goal and three assists in a 14-9 victory over Augustana College Wednesday.
Handy (Dana Point, Calif.) amassed 14 saves in the Scarlet Hawks' 15-5 win over Beloit College Tuesday. The rookie goalkeeper had a .778 save percentage in nearly 55 minutes in goal.
