Langmack Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Cornell College senior lacrosse midfielder Brendan Langmack (Olathe, Kan.) has been selected to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Langmack is among 16 honorees on the NCAA Division III First Team in District 8. The pool of nominees is comprised of 21 states, in addition to Canada.

The all-academic teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve, have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30.

The Rams' student-athlete advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. The CoSIDA All-America Teams will be announced from June 16-19.

Langmack garnered academic all-district accolades for the second consecutive year. He carried a 3.96 GPA with a major in chemistry and a minor in physics. As a senior, Langmack was the recipient of Cornell's Paul Maaske Award and Russell W. Landis Award, and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He's a four-time academic All-Midwest Lacrosse Conference performer.

Langmack was lacrosse team captain for three years and voted the Rams' Most Valuable Player two years. He played in 49 games for the Rams, holding career records for assists (39) and man-up goals (12). Langmack also finished in Cornell's all-time top 10 for ground balls (153), caused turnovers (40), points (91) and goals (52).
