MINNEAPOLIS --The tournament field for the 2021 Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) Tournament has been finalized.
The University of Northwestern (6-3 overall, 6-0 MLC) won the league title for the first time in program history to earn the top seed for the tournament.
Monmouth (5-2, 4-2) has earned the second seed and will host Cornell (1-6, 1-5) in the semifinal on Wednesday, May 5. Game time is yet to be announced.
Fourth-seed Northland has withdrawn from the tournament due to COVID-19 protocols.
All teams will make their debuts in the conference tournament.
The semifinal winner will face Northwestern Saturday, May 8 in the MLC tournament final. Game time will be announced.
The tournament champion is the MLC's automatic qualifier in the NCAA Division III Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
