MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Northwestern (7-3 overall) will face #16 Illinois Wesleyan (13-1) in the First Round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The Titans will serve as hosts for the four-team pod.

The Eagles won their first Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament to earn the league's automatic bid. Illinois Wesleyan defeated North Central College in overtime for the CCIW Tournament Championship.

Northwestern will face Illinois Wesleyan Friday, May 14 at 1 p.m. at Tucci Stadium. The other teams in the pod are Hope and Benedictine (Ill.).

Saturday's winners will advance to Saturday's Second Round.
