For today's Membership Monday spotlight, we learn about Lane Zierten and the Cornell College program.

Get to know the coach: 

1. Favorite book: The Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

2. Favorite food: Pizza.

3. Who would play you in a movie? The Miz (Michael Mizanin).

4. If you weren't a coach, what job would you have? Something in astrology - astrophysicist, astronomer, or an astronaut.

Get to know the program: 

1. What is your favorite lacrosse memory from your time at your school? The last game of my first season as the head coach at Cornell. We played CUW at home and took them to a one goal game. While we lost the game, it was an incredible moment for our program where I saw our team come together, play as a family, and leave their hearts on the field.
   
   

2. Where is your favorite place on campus? My favorite place on campus is the lacrosse field. It may be cliche, and I found solace when I step onto the field.

3. What do you love most about your institution? I love that Cornell makes it a priority to be accepting of all people. We try our best to have an open and inviting atmosphere on campus for people of all walks of life.

4. What is special about your program? The most special part of our program is that we know winning isn't the most important aspect of what we are doing here. We prioritize the culture and experience of our student-athletes, and I believe our players leave here after four years looking back on their time knowing that it changed their lives for the better!
