Former Captain, Jakob Wohlford, has been named the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Northland College on an interim basis announced Athletic Director Seamus Gregory.

"We are very excited to announce the elevation of Jakob Wohlford to lead our Lacrosse program," says Director of Athletics Seamus Gregory. "Coach Wohlford was one of the finest players in on the field for our program and an exemplary young man on our campus. We could not be happier to have someone in place that already has a deep investment in the success of our lacrosse program."

Jakob Wohlford, who was a four year starter for the LumberJacks, has been elevated to the head coach position at Northland College on an interim basis. The two time captain graduated in the spring of 2022, after a record setting career in the orange and blue. Wohlford finished his playing career atop the LumberJack leaderboard in total points, goals and assists. Twice the recipient of 2nd team all conference honors, Wohlford helped lead the Jacks to their winningest season in school history in 2022.

"I would like to thank President Karl Solibakke and Athletic Director Seamus Gregory for this tremendous opportunity," said Wohlford. It is very special to lead the program I have grown to love as a player. I am excited to grow my leadership skills while furthering this program towards new heights."

Wohlford, also, spent time as an assistant coach at Centruy High School in Rochester, Minnesota and has served as a private lacrosse coach for youth and high school players.
