Moses, Adkins earn MLC men’s weekly awards

MINNEAPOLIS— The University of Northwestern's Sam Moses and Ryan Adkins were named the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) men's offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for events April 8-14, as selected by the league's head coaches. 

Moses (Wausau, Wis.) had three goals and four assists in Saturday's MLC 15-11 victory over Cornell. Among all MLC players, he is tied for fourth in assists (4), tied for eighth in points (8) and tied for 18th in goals (8).

Adkins (St. Michael, Minn.) had eight ground balls and was 61.2% in faceoffs in Saturday's win over the Rams. He added one goal in the contest. Against all conference players, he leads the league in ground balls (29) and is second in faceoff percentage (.667).

This is the second career MLC weekly honor for Moses and third for Adkins.

The MLC is comprised of NCAA Division III institutions located throughout the Midwest including Cornell (Mt. Vernon, Iowa), Dubuque (Dubuque, Iowa), Lake Forest (Lake Forest, Ill.), Northland (Ashland, Wis.), and Northwestern (St. Paul, Minn.).
