Doyle named IMLCA Second-team All-Region

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) announced their all-region teams and major award winners. University of Dubuque junior defensemen Ryan Doyle was named Region 5 Second Team Defensemen after another stellar season for the three-time conference defensive player of the year.  This marks his third career All-Region honor.

Doyle finished his third season with the Spartans with 65 caused turnovers and 105 ground balls. His 65 caused turnovers were the most in Division III this season and while doing so he became the all-time caused turnover career leader with 246 caused turnovers in just three years. The Brighton, Mich. native also earned MLC Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in his career, was named an honorable mention All-American by the USA Lacrosse Magazine as well as the USILA. Doyle was named conference player of the week three times this past season and did so in consecutive weeks.
