MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For March 13-19

Benedictine University's Becca Gullet and Hannah Smith have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 13-19, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Gullet (Lockport, Illinois) scored 15 goals and added four assists in a 3-0 week for the Eagles. She added 26 groundballs, 14 caused turnovers, 10 draw controls and notched 32 shots. The senior scored seven times in a win over Cornell College, adding two assists. The seven goals matched a single-game school record.

Smith (Cherry, Ill.) posted a 3-0 week in goal for Benedictine. She notched double-digit saves in all three games and set a single-game school record with 18 saves in a Sunday win over Monmouth College. The senior tallied eight groundballs and three caused turnovers on the week. She had 14 saves, caused two turnovers and picked up five groundballs at Elmhurst College.
