MWLC Selects Players Of The Week For March 27-April 2

Illinois Institute of Technology's Alyssa DeLuca and Concordia University Chicago's Krystal Phillips have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of March 27-April 2, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

DeLuca (Wrentham, Massachusetts) set a school record with 10 goals in a win Saturday versus Cornell College after scoring six in a victory over Carroll University Thursday. On the week, the sophomore tallied 16 total goals, five ground balls, eight draw controls, and three caused turnovers. She converted on 16 of her 22 shot attempts (72.7 percent) and also had a shot-on-goal percentage of 90.9.

Phillips (Melbourne, Florida) posted a 5.50 goals against average versus the two conference teams that the Cougars defeated this weekend. The rookie tallied 44 saves on the week with a high of 22 in a nonconference loss at Carthage College. She had a save percentage of 62.0 in the three contests.
